Family Golf Day in Herne Bay 12 June 2010

Every year the lads in our family hit little balls with a big stick up and down large swaths of grass varying in length. Facing nightmares such as: the rough, sand bunkers, water, boundries, golfers with hip flasks and last but not least blisters. (poor Joe)

They all arrive at the golf course at a certain time (early o'clock) and eat a fat boys breakfast. They need this because usually the night before the BIG tournament they all try their very best to get each other drunk so that they have the UPPER-HAND.

They then proceed to pick the teams. This is done very precisely, this year it was a draw system. There is four in a team known as a Four Ball. They then go off in there fours and chase little balls down holes.

Meanwhile back at Debbie's house us girls had a party. Cocktails were on the menu; made by Claudia. They were that good I had more than a couple (and anyone who knows me will know that two is more than enough) Debbie made all sorts of curries with rice and all the trimmings, scummy. She is the best-est hostess. I ended up sleeping on the couch; very comfortable.

The next day all the girls and boys got together at Recolver Bay for a big family dinner. It was great to see my sister and brother in law who came over from Spain, my younger brother Dominic (who never turns up to anything) but sadly missing Thomas and Sarah and Jake, Lauren and Emma and Luke and Cameron. Never mind I will be seeing them soon. (love you)

Me and Rob had a quick cup of tea with big sister Pam and went over to Aylesham to wish my mum a happy birthday.

Back home and in bed by ten on Sunday 13 June.
